4GB Spy Pen DVR Camcorder

• COMPLETELY charge the device (30 Min approximately)
• Press the top button and hold, the pen should turn on.
• Press the button on top again. The Blue light should turn on. This means that the pen is recording.
• Simply hold the top button to stop recording. The blue light should turn off and the yellow light should turn back on.
• Press and HOLD the top button for 5 seconds to turn the device off again.
• Ffdshow (ffdshow-20020617.exe) is recommended for viewing these files in Windows Media player.

View Movies

• In conjunction with Windows, when the pen is plugged into a standard 1.1 or higher USB drive, Windows will automatically detect it and install the drivers.
• Once installed a window with several options should appear, select the option just above the bottom option: Open Folder to view files.
• If it does not; first locate the drive the pen is plugged in. If the drive is named E:\ Double click drive E:\.
• At this point you should see a single Folder named Movie. Double click it, and then double click the Record folder. You now see any videos that you have recorded.
• *Note* you will need ffdshow to view these movies using windows media player.

Using FFDSHOW

• Firstly download Here (ffdshow-20020617.exe)
• Save the .exe file and when prompted open and install FFDSHOW.
• Restart your computer. The program will not function correctly until you do.
• Select the All programs option. Then Select ffdshow. Then click configuration. This will open ffdshows configuration for videos, movies or other media.
• Once the configuration has opened, check H.263+ under the Codecs tab.
• Now close the program. When you insert your product the next time, open a video in Windows Media Player. You should view the video just fine.

How to set the time date on the DVR Camcorder Pen

• Open notepad and create a file using this format: Ex: 2008-06-12 14:20:30
• Save file to desktop as the name userconfig this will be a .txt file.
• Connect pen to your computer.
• Open the drive assigned to your pen.
• Copy the txt file from your desktop and paste it into this drive you opened.
• Exit out of the drive.
• Remove the pen from your computer, turn it off and turn it back on and the time will be set.
