I began ordering DVDs from here in December of 2007. I started with the recycled, black standard single, then went to the recycled, black standard double and now buy these wonderful slim (9mm) doubles. They ship quickly with trackable UPS, they're packaged well, there's no s&h cost, the price is great, I've never had a billing error and in the 400+ I've ordered I'd say I've had 3 damaged ones. Yes, they have a slight smell (if you stick your head in the box filled with the DVDs) but nothing that stays once they're brought out.I HIGHLY recommend these if you're low on shelf space due to a large DVD collection, like I am. Discs are not touching and they snap in and come out easily. No pinched finger with their center nubs!I can't find anything bad to say about the DVD cases or Shop4Tech.com. I'm recommending them to everyone!

The manufacture has, over time, varied - but they seem to be stable now, and they're remarkably functional. They won't fit standard cover art, but they save a lot of shelf space if you've got an extensive DVD collection. I'm migrating my entire collection to these.
A helpful note - using 300dpi scans, I've been able to adjust my cover art to fit these just fine. The numbers are: 2175 pixels high, front and back 1535 pixels wide each, and spine at 80 pixels wide, for an overall size of 3150 pixels wide, 2175 pixels high.
Out of the last several hundred, I haven't seen a broken or failing case.

For the cost these are good cases. They're not a thick mold and the plastic clear sleeve is a little thin BUT the center hub holds the dvd nicely and releases it without effort or prying. They open easily and stay shut when closed and none were broken. Unless your using them as frisbees, I don't see how they rip or break.
As far as the smell, all dvd cases made from recycled plastic have a little smell, you have to buy non recycled cases( more expensive), just air em out.
Templates are all over the internet in .pdf .ai or .doc format, just google it.I made mine and they fit fine.
Going to get 25 of the super slims next.

THEY ARE GREAT! I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE LITTLE TABBIES NOT HOLDING THE DISCS IN PLACE. AND IF YOU CAN USE A COMPUTER, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE YOUR OWN TEMPLATE FOR MAKING AN INSERT. :)

These cases are not really good at all. The first ten I used were great (thus 2 stars instead of 1) and almost every one thereafter was terrible. The hubs do not hold the DVDs in place at all and many a DVD has been scratch as a result. Great price but not really worth it if only 20 out of 50 work.

I bought 100 of these and about half of them had hub issues (discs were not securely positioned in the case at all). So, I wasted about half of my money; unless, of course, I LIKE the fact that my discs aren't held tightly in their places, rattling around and getting scratches all over. But, I just happen to be one of those people who doesn't like their discs being ruined. I'm going to try the clear and white double slims next, since they at least have a center release button hub that sounds like it might work better at holding the discs securely. But if you want to pay 4 cents less per case and get highly-mixed results, get these black double slims. To some people, saving 4 whole dollars and getting half of the product you paid for still seems like a bargain. Good for them.

I bought the slim cases and also had the problem of not having any way to make a lable for them. I fortunately work in a print shop and was able to make a template. I made it in publisher and if anyonw needs it they can give me an email and I'll pass it along. And yes I was able to get the spine to be readable as well.

Awesome case!! These saved me a ton of space on my overflowing DVD racks. And the best part about them was that I received them only two days after ordering!

I got a 50 pack of the slim double DVD cases, and I'm sorry to say that not one of them held the DVD in place. The little plastic tab-catches were formed too close to the center for the catches to grab the disks. I tried several disks with all cases, but only found the occasional one side that slightly held a disk. But after closing the case, and flipping it completely over, and back again, the DVD had slid out off the hub and slid down to one edge, instead of remaining in the middle of the case where the hub is. The only way I have found the cases to work is if I slightly melt the base of each tab-catch and bend it outwards a hair (using a butane soldering iron with a heatgun tip)--- too little and it still doesn't grab, too much and you can't get the disk on the hub. Notice on the picture of the case, that the case is not upright but leaning over, but the other cases have pictures demonstrating the cases upright holding the disks in place. I am giving these cases a 2 because they are nice looking and take up less space, but only a 2 because the only way I have found them to work is by doing work on them. Perhaps I got a bad batch (all 50 out of 50) but I doubt it. Bad design. I will NOT be ordering 'slim' DVD cases anymore...

These cases rock. I was very skeptical about shop4tech, because I just found their website on a google search, but I got bought the 25 pack of slim singles and the 25 pack of slim doubles, and they are both incredible. My biggest concern was the disk release, because some dvds are hard to get out, which could damage the disk when trying to yank them out, or that they wouldnt hold them tight enough, so they'd spill out and potentially scratch. These cases are guilty of neither. The only somewhat troublesome thing is adjusting my dvd sleeves to fit in the slim design, but it's actually not that hard to do. Will definately be making future purchases!

I spent a lot of time looking around for cases like this and I'm completely satisfied with these. I can store two CD/DVDs in a compact case with the ability print professional looking inserts. Great deal for the money!
